Towers dropped to 0-2 after committing almost 20 penalties against the Hvidovre Stars. Two rushing TDs, one receiving TD and a safety by the away team sent the Towers to the locker room with a 23-0 loss.  

Two weeks after a tough loss to the Razorbacks, the Towers were shut-out by the Hvidovre Stars. When describing the game coach Miller was quick to note that the offense in particular committed too many penalties: “In my judgment we could have scored two TDs if we had not been pushed back by illegal formation or false start”. In fact, on offense the Towers were flagged for false start, illegal formation, illegal shift, illegal motion and delay of game.

SS Christian Dinesen makes a tackleIt’s ok to bend as long as you don’t break. And while the Towers certainly did bend against the Razorbacks on Saturday, they did not break. The Razorbacks turned a 20-0 halftime score into a convincing 52-6 win. Nonetheless, the Towers are confident that this was a one-off situation and are very much looking forward to meeting the Razorbacks again in the play-offs.

The 2010 season is just days away as the Towers will welcome the Triangle Razorbacks to Gentofte Stadium for the opener on Saturday, April 24th at 15.00 (3 pm). The Razorbacks are making Danish football history as their roster includes a former NFL player, WR Tony Simmons.
