It is conventional football wisdom that penalties and turnovers kill you. On Friday the Knights fulfilled that wisdom by committing six turnovers. The Towers, on the other hand, won 34-0 despite committing 17 penalties.

In late April the Towers faced the Knights in the second game of the season. The Towers won that contest 48-10 and improved to 2-0. Now it’s time for the re-match. The Towers have generally played well against weaker teams this season and must do so again on Friday.
Towers RB Casper Jensen was awarded the game ball by head coach Peter Herbild for his part in the solid 48-0 victory. Always cheerful and always modest, Jensen was quick to give credit to the offensive line. The line did indeed provide good running lanes for Jensen, and he took full advantage throughout the game. Not only did he score two TDs, but he – as well as FB Jannik Lindén – used his great balance and power to run over and around defenders all game long.
The Towers (4-3) are currently sitting in the third spot in the national conference, three games ahead of the Demons (1-7) in the fourth spot.
In the National League, the two games bookending the summer break featured the same matchup of teams. The spring season ended with the Søllerød Golddiggers narrowly pulling out a 41-40 win over the Towers in Gentofte, and the fall season began with a rematch in Nærum on Saturday.

The Towers return home to take on the rejuvenated Kronborg Knights under the artificial lights of Gentofte Stadium. Coming off a short week since last Sunday’s landslide win over the Demons, the Towers must prove that the team can keep the steam up. 
On a sunny Sunday afternoon the Towers’ offense scored six TDs, the defense pitched a shutout and special teams added a TD of their own. All in all, the outcome was the same as last time the Towers visited Amager: A resounding Towers win.
Coming off two consecutive loses to the Golddiggers the Towers are more than hungry for a win. On Sunday the Towers will have a chance to get that win against the Demons. 
On Saturday, August 6th the Towers kick-off the second half of the 2011 season. The team will travel the short distance to Søllerød to take on the Gold Diggers for the second game in a row. Six weeks ago the Gold Diggers escaped with a narrow 41-40 win. 
The superlatives knew no end after the much anticipated clash between two of the best teams in the National League. However, to the Towers the sting of the 41-40 loss to the Søllerød Gold Diggers outlasted the thrill of playing perhaps the best game in the history of Danish football.
