Stellar defense, high powered offense and adequate speciel teams carved the way for a shut-out win to open the season.

"Our defense has played exceptionally. Better than I could have dreamed", head coach Peter Herbild told his team during the halftime break. And the defense did indeed play brilliant football throughout the game, notching two interceptions, two QB sacks, several tackles for a loss and a handful of bone jarring hits.

Over the past weekend three Towers teams saw action: Senior, U19 and U16. The three teams broke the century mark as they scored 104 combined points and reached a 3-0 record.

Even more amazingly the Towers also scored a 100+ points margin as neither team allowed a single point scored by their opponents.....!

In a surprising decision the DAFF Appeals Committee overturned the ruling of the Disciplinary committee. Thus the Towers and two other teams will have to play 10 games this season while the rest of the league will not.

In 2010 the newly signed Artozqui sat out the two first games of the season, while waiting for his work permit to clear. Then followed five games – and five wins – before a shoulder injury ended the 23-year old QB's season prematurely.

Now he's back for more and he plans to play 12 games this year.
